Perhaps the most overlooked documents in any organisation are the SOP’s that dovetail in with job descriptions, on-task knowledge, training and appraisals.
Too often staff fail to fully deliver on their job roles because SOP’s are not alive within their business. SOP’s also fast track training whilst learning by rote on the job often takes too long and exceeds probationary periods in which you need to see the capability of your staff.
This simple document needs to written by HOD’s and then be signed off by the GM. When uploaded into your Academy this SOP will also require staff to sign off that they have read the SOP and fully understand how it relates to their role.
